Her future

A few months ago Eloise’s aunt Dawnel took a trip to England where she did a lot of sightseeing. She stopped and checked out Oxford University and picked up this adorable tee for Eloise. It got me thinking about this girls future. (already?!)Oxford U - acedemic_1326

I was raised in a family where a college degree wasn’t common (that has since changed) but I grew up in a very nice home with everything a kid could need with parents who worked hard. I was/am proud of them! I never went to college after high school and part of me regrets it just a bit. On the other hand I have a very good photography business that I wouldn’t necessarily need a degree to have. What I DO wish I would have had after high school was a PLAN. A plan to do something. I ended up working at a job that wasn’t for me for NINE AND A HALF YEARS because I didn’t have a plan. I kind of wandered for a long time.Oxford U - acedemic_1328

To me that will be what is important to teach me children. Having a plan. And no it doesn’t have to be a detailed and mean they have to know exactly what they want right out of high school, because, who does.

Ultimately I think Matthew and I agree we want our kids to thrive. To grow and be productive members of society. To work for and reach their goals. Whatever they may be. Oxford U - acedemic_1329

What are your goals for your kids future?
