Here are a few words I have used to describe this week: Crazy. Hard. Difficult. Wonderful. Blessed. Exhausting. Rough. Painful. Happy. Growth.
Yeah. We’ve had a week.
We started out the week at the hospital with Matthew. ( Kidney stones) and rounded out the week with me developing Mastits. Want to hear the in-between bits? On top of all that Miss Eloise has had some trouble falling back to sleep at night. There were a few long nights in there.
But want to hear the good things? Yes, there were MANY good things. By the end of the week I think we may have found a solution to the restless sleep. ( Moms, I just started trying the Merlins Magic Sleepsuit and it seems to work wonders for our little lady! Have you used it? Let me know what you think!)
Also, this week was a HUGE week for Eloise and development. She had her two months appointment and apparently Matthew and I need to invest in a better baby scale. ( or our baby grew a crazy amount in one week) At her appointment she weighed 12 pounds and 5.5 ounces! She is also 24 1/4 inches long! Putting her at the 98% for height at her age! She is a tall little lady!
She has been working for a few weeks to roll over and this week she not only mastered rolling from back to belly, she turned around and rolled the other way as well! Belly to back! ( She is quite an over achiever!) And then this morning she gave us the best gift ever! She giggled! It may have been a one time fluke, but it was definitely a giggle! I am so happy both Matthew and I were there to hear it!
At the end of the week Matthew and I realized how thankful we were. Yes, he was in pain and I was sick and in pain, but neither were contagious to Eloise and we both recovered within a day or so. I am choosing to focus on the highs this week instead of the lows. And you can bet that I will be doing every goofy thing I can non-stop to get that girl to giggle again!
We have been working on tunny time!
(that brow line though!)
