I can not believe that October is almost over. October is a huge month in our house. It is a photographers BUSIEST (by far) month of the year, you have all sorts of fall activities to do, and it’s my mom, step sister AND Eloise’s birthday month. I am running around like crazy trying to accomplish it all. Last night someone asked me what Eloise was going to be for Halloween and I was like “umm….yeah, we haven’t got there yet..” lol.
BUT that is NOT what this post is about! I realized that I have blogged zero about this new little babe! Well, besides our announcement. So I thought I would spend a few minutes and just let you know what’s been going on in the world of Baby G2. .
Finding out:
I was on vacation and I felt crappy. I thought it was because I was getting literally ZERO sleep (and that was definitely part of it) but I was SO SO tired and my body was tired and I was overheating a lot. But this all seemed like possible side effects of a zombie mom on a beach in the middle of summer. I laughed to Matthew that I was probably pregnant and he kind of did a “yeah…ok.” Sure enough, we came home from vacation, I took a test and YUP, I was pregnant!
The first trimester went about like I thought. I was basically more tired than I have ever been in my life. We were working on sleep with Eloise, my supply was running low so she was getting more hungry, and I was barely functioning there for a while. No morning sickness, just a low nausea all the time. I am super thankful I have easy pregnancies in the beginning.
Our first appointment went well. Baby measured a little small, but not enough to change the due date. Which is March 22nd as of now. I am excited to have a little spring baby!
Since then pregnancy has been fairly easy. Just really tired for the most part. Baby is growing. We have our anatomy scan next week. I am letting Matthew decide if we are finding out the gender or not. He was leaning towards keeping it a surprise, but the more he thinks about it, the more he is leaning towards finding out.
So that brings us to now. We are in the easy stage, the in between stage. Where my belly is just starting to become a “pregnant belly” and I have some of my energy back. I am so so thankful for how I feel and how this pregnancy is continuing.
For all you mamas out there, what are some things I can do to prepare Eloise for baby #2? She is still really little so I know there is really only so much, but any advise is great!!
If you made it this far, thanks for reading!!
