It’s been a while since I have hopped on and wrote something on this blog. I have decided to steer away from mostly mom/babe and just share more things that I love, which includes but not limited to, gardening, home decor, reno, and trying to get this mess of a life somewhat organized with a family of 6, all while running a full time business, and possibly starting others. Also all while balancing it with motherhood. I hope that is all ok with you!
I wanted to start my new series off with a newer-ish passion of mine. Gardening. If you follow along on any of my social media it won’t seem so “new” but in the big scheme of things, I think it is. And I have yet to blog about it.
I want to make this VERY clear. I am NOT here to educate on HOW to garden. I am very open with the fact that I do NOT know what I am doing. I throw everything out ( literally) and cross my fingers and hope for the best. What I AM here to do is INSPIRE and SHARE. I genuinely love gardening (who knew) and I love both the FUNCTION of a garden, but the FORM. I love designing, planning, the looks and aesthetic of a garden, in addition to actually growing amazing food for my family. I am a firm believer that things can be super functional and needed but can also be very beautiful. And if I am going to do it and look at it, I’m going to try and make it look pretty.
If sharing my garden inspires one person to start their own, or I connect with one new friend over out love of cucumbers, then it’s a win for me!
I have opened up recently on social media about how this garden has helped my mental health, but it also just causes me joy, and I LOVE sharing joy. So that is what I am here to do.
Recently, my dear friend Mindy came over and snapped some photos of me in the garden. She asked if it was going to be family photos or just me. I said I was thinking me, but whatever kid wants to jump in can. And they did.
They constantly come and join me, help me plant, trim, pick and eat all the things. So it was fun for them to hop in and out of the photos just like they normally do.
