Today I am sharing all about the furniture we built for our deck.
I had a vision of what I wanted for our deck. it changed a LOT throughout the whole process but the feeling and vibe was all still there. I had originally bought a whole outdoor seating set and it just felt too small and the wrong colors. I searched and searched outdoor furniture for HOURS and I just kept coming back to all wood furniture. So I asked Matthew if he thought he could build me the furniture….in a week….and he ( as always) amazed me.
We found some plans and he set off to building some. We both learned a lot in the process. I changed my mind on colors so many times. I bought MULTIPLE stain/paints thinking it was the one…and it wasn’t. Eventually I found our color. Valspar semi transparent paint in Spicy Brown.
It wasn’t in the budget to get a new dining set so we got rid of our table and Matthew built me a new one! Then I just spray painted our old rusting metal chairs and bought some new cushions!
I did a lot of research and found a company called Honeycomb for our cushions. I bought a light tan for a table setting and a nice cream color for the rest of the furniture. All in all Matthew built me a new table, two chairs and a sofa. I love them so so much!
We have used all the furniture every day since we have put it all together and I just love it all so much!
