Eloise and I

I decided not to do a monthly update for February. It was a good, slow and busy month. (yes I know there is slow and busy in the same sentence) I decided it was best to just let February go.

These past two weeks has been  rough for me. I know a lot of it is pregnancy hormones, lack of sleep and being uncomfortable, but an overwhelming fact has hit me hard. The fact that I will be loosing my one on one with Eloise. Now I know it is a totally normal feeling for any mother who is about to have her second, but man, it’s not easy.

See, as a work from home mom who has a lot of flexibility in her job, I have been with Eloise all the time since she was born. When we aren’t home, she goes to work with me a lot, and even when she can’t go with me it is only for a few hours and then we are back. I have spent one night away from her in 16 months. She is my sidekick. My best buddy.

I was afraid to have a daughter, and now that she is here I just LOVE our bond and our relationship. The thought of that changing terrifies me! I know that this change will not be bad. That having a sibling will only enhance her life. That we will still have our time together, but it’s still a scary thought.

We are SO excited for this baby to arrive! ( Hello Due Date Month!) And I am SO so excited to see Eloise be a big sister. She loves kids, babies and being around them, so I know having a sibling is great for her. It’s just hard to see that now, when it’s so lovely being her and I. (And yes, Matthew. 😉 )

So in all of my feelings I asked my lovely friend and second shooter Leah to come and take photos of Eloise and I just hanging out. She gladly accepted and I am SOOO thankful for these photos that shows us in our lives these last few weeks.

We cuddled, danced and ate goldfish and it makes me so happy to see her little personality shine in these photos. Like her asking Leah to get her off the bed every other min and trying to escape me. lol. I can totally hear her giggles in the photos. Even with her little busted lip, I simple love them.

Make sure to go give Leah a follow here after you are done!
